Mia Hjorth Hansen

Mia is head of activation and development and is co-owner of Gedulgt, located in Aalborg and Aarhus in Denmark.

Mia started in the hospitality industry back in 2007, later she got the education as a waiter. In 2017, she decided to focus more on the bar scene, where she could combine her knowledge of service and her passion for foraging and cooking. In 2022 & 2023 she won the award for being the best bartender in Denmark at the annual Bartenders Award Show, first female in Denmark to win.

Locally Gedulgt is known as “the secret cocktail bar”, and is located in both Aarhus & Aalborg. Once you’re in, the decor is austere with popping colors from the drinks and attentive service from the staff.

The menu is split between different worlds, using ingredients in season, modern techniques and featuring twists on cocktails that delves deep into the cocktail history.

Gedulgt is devoted to combining high volume with high quality. The result is a creative and festive, yet professional bar concept striving to create memories for anyone who is determined to find it.
